Jorge Posada Biography On His Life

Posada was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He attended Alejandrino High School in San Juan, where he played basketball, volleyball, track, and baseball. Being a baseball player in high school, he became All-Star player at shortstop in the season of 1988–89.
He attended Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama in 1991, where he later received an Associate's Degree. He also were voted as a best hitter (1990), co-captain (1991), and selected all-conference (1991). In the year 2006 he was inducted in the Alabama Community College Athletic Hall of Fame and Calhoun retired his number (#6).
